One
thing about video surveillance is security for owners. Hackers had produced
tons of master keys, which used to decrypt encryption messages over the
Internet connections. That would cause any home surveillance became public to
anyone on the streets. Can you predict what an insane would do to you or your
family?
-> Officers would be too busy to monitor everyone on earth, and they had portable equipment to get jobs done. Permanent listeners or cameras must come from aliens, who like to follow us for little reasons.
-> If investigators came for a reason, they would leave if nothing found. Insane used these damn things to create games.
Remote monitoring your home or place was a good idea. However, this would mean you'd be monitored by anyone out there, because of master keys.
-> Ask an encryption company if they had created a master key. How could they safeguard a software master key?
One of key features for an alarm system was allowing a surveillance control center to listen and talk to the owner via the alarm system. Are you sure that this system was only activated manually as said OR it was on all the times, i.e. could be activated remotely? If it was activated all the times, your home was online to anybody out there.
With brain wave stuff or neural networks, the password was no longer a sufficient safety measure. Anyways users should change password regularly and randomly, i.e. not always at begining of a month.
-------
Any sensitive government offices or banks should use local surveillance systems. For example, video was setup to store locally at a safe box within a bank location, i.e. robber couldn't break or destroy those. Otherwise hackers could view activity inside those locations remotely if Internet was used, and plan accordingly based on real-time indoor information.
Btw, sensitive government offices and banks should have enough budgets to enforce local surveillance.
