13. Future energy sources?

What would be future energy sources?
---------------------------------------------------
2015-06-26: What would be used to generate electricity and to power our cars in 50 years?
-------

So far, we have generated electricity from
- Gas power plant
- Solar power plant
- Wind power plant
- Hydro dam power plant
- Nuclear power plant
- Coal power plant

Manufactures have 20 year - 25 year warranty on a solar panel. Thus the life span of a solar panel is not far from 25 years.

It seems to me that wind power plant and hydro dam power plant would stay 50 years from now. However they're not powerful enough to power all homes on earth.

Other sources of electricity rely on materials that would likely be depleted in the future.

What would be the future source of energy?

For car technology, we have
- gasoline car
- electric car
- hydro-fuel car

Hydro fuel cars would likely to survive in the future. However how could we extract hydrogen at that time? Materials used to build a car?
------

Worse case scenarios would be using bicycles for local commutes. The remaining energy [oil] is reserved for bus and train. Air planes would be grounded. Sail boats would be used.
